Dear LoveChologist,

I hope this message finds you well. I am reaching out to seek your guidance and advice on a matter that has been weighing heavily on my mind. I have been married to my wife for over 10 years, and unfortunately, I find myself in a situation where I no longer feel a deep connection or attraction to her.

We have a son whom I adore, but I am concerned about the dynamic between my wife and our son. I feel that she babies him excessively, and when I try to be firm or discipline him, she intervenes and coddles him, leaving me feeling powerless and concerned about his upbringing.

Furthermore, our relationship has reached a point where I no longer experience any excitement or physical attraction towards my wife. Despite her professional achievements and her dedication to our home, I find myself disengaged and uninterested in our relationship. I have also noticed that we have difficulty communicating, and I often find myself avoiding conversations with her to evade potential conflicts.

I am committed to my marriage and do not believe in divorce, but I am at a loss as to how to address these issues and rekindle the love and connection that once existed between us. I am also aware that my wife tends to assert her knowledge and opinions, which has led to further frustration and distance between us.

I genuinely want to find a way to improve our relationship and create a healthier environment for our family, but I am unsure of where to begin. I am reaching out to you, as an expert in matters of love and relationships, for any guidance and advice you may have to offer. I am open to any suggestions that could help me navigate this challenging situation and work towards a more fulfilling and harmonious marriage.

Thank you for taking the time to read this, and I eagerly await your insights and support.

I Really Want To Leave Her
